Inca Stories "Woods Basket Weave"

Inca Stories "Woods Basket Weave"

Deep in the woods colour. Ridges and lacework run around the back perimeter and it is embellished with three tassels. The two side tassels are topped with a vintage button from my personal collection and a silver metal hand cut tube bead.

This is a beautiful combination of hand dyed wool, wool/hemp and a touch of cotton. This combination creates a lightweight yet warm hat. It is one of the few hats that I make that is totally crochet. She can be found at my 1000Markets shop. Http://DreamWoven.1000Markets.com

Inca Stories "Sun Basket"

The Pine needle basket weaving of Grizzly Mountain Arts were the jumping off points for the last couple of Inca hats. I am so thoroughly enjoying them that I created another (the one below sold the next day :) ) and have already started a third.

A new field, furrowed, planted and now coming to fruition... these are the colours therein.... browns, russets, spring greens, coppers... this hat is full of details. Ridges and lacework run around the back perimeter and it is embellished with three tassels.

This is a beautiful combination of hand dyed Silk/Viscose blend, a lovely green Linen and a coppery Rayon. It is lightweight and warm. It is one of the few hats that I make that is totally crochet and this particular hat can be worn by those that can not tolerate wool.

Inca "Winter" - for 2009!

Inca "Winter"

About the hat:

A simple beauty, but exquisitely full of details. Ridges and lacework run around the back perimeter and it is embellished with two tassels.

This is a beautiful, soft and luscious combination of the finest Alpaca, Silk and Merino in a lovely Cream color. Warm yet delicately light. It is one of the few hats that I make that is totally crochet and one of the few designs I will do in a solid colour.

The hat measures approx. 11" (27.9 cm) when laid flat (at the widest point and approx. 8" (20.3 cm) from top to the point right above the ridges. For reference, the mannequin head is 21" (53.3 cm). There is stretch due to its construction and it can fit a variety of sizes. My head measures approx. 24" with all of my hair and it fits wonderfully. Please measure your head and send me your measurements if you have a question about whether this hat will fit you.

It is a stunning statement, but remember....it can cause "Specialness" and you will always have to be ready for that!

Inca "Winter" is available through 1000Markets or my website.
