Hmmmmmm???????

I am so damn sick of this kind of stuff............... do these people have nothing else to do??? Actually though, it does bring a moment of humor when I see things like this......

Does anyone care to elaborate on what this could possibly mean??

Let's talk about WHOLESALE!

i was just about to write an article regarding wholesaling and the handmade community. my personal take on it is that there really are no rules regarding wholesaling when it comes to artisans that create items, usually one of a kind, with their own two hands. I believe the etsy environment is a perfect situation for etsy sellers to enlighten wholesale buyers about 'handmade'.

People who buy wholesale 'expect' a discount. It is NOT mandatory nor is it always, if ever, beneficial to a seller of handmade goods. The buyer should be able to make their profit from reselling the item to the public in their boutique or shop. They are the ones that understand what their customers will pay. I believe too many times, sellers feel they 'need' to wholesale or deeply discount their items just to make a sale. Obviously this is a personal issue for a seller, but again, what a perfect environment we are in for enlightening wholesale buyers as well as keeping handmade goods in the specialized field it deserves.

Didn't pull out. Downhill from there. -- Roger Daubach

Santa Barbara Museum of Art

I was lucky enough to go to the Santa Barbara Museum of Art last sunday with my sweetie and two wonderful friends (the Mrs. & her Professor...see below)... we left early in the morning, got our coffee and headed on down the road..... it rained, drizzled, poured and rained some more... and it was absolutely fine with us. One of the exhibits that we were particularly interested in was the "Everyday Luxury: Chinese Silks of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911)"

.... UNBELIEVEABLY stunning.......GORGEOUS.....unbelieveable.........the handwork, the embroidery, the EMBROIDERY.... amazing...

Can we say "EYEBROW WAXING"?!?!?!?!?!?

ok.... so i've never had my eyebrows waxed... i always plucked.... i liked plucking..... that subtle line between pleasure and pain.... kind of like flossing... ykwim?

so i grew them out (the chemo had reeked havoc with my hair follicles). No plucking for almost 3 months..... just to see what hair would grow back. Suffice it to say that it was not a pretty sight.... So I went in, had a facial, a brow shaping, lash tint and micro-derm abrasion (which i've never had before either).... and this is what Alicia was able to do..... EYEBROW PERFECTION :)

ooooh... and please go visit here http://lizetfrijters.blogspot.com/ Lizet has started featuring different fiber artists (and yes, she included me... thank you so much Lizet)... but she is a fiber artist in her own right..... please go take a peek.
